Chevy’s response to counter mid-size foreign imports, the 2005 Chevrolet Malibu is a solid mid-size sedan with practical features geared towards the medium price segment and offers affordability and great value for money.
The 2005 Chevrolet Malibu features two engine options – the base model comes with a 2.2 liter V-4 dual overhead cam Ecotec engine that delivers 144 hp while the high-end models feature a V-6 3.4 liter Ecotec that delivers 200 hp.
The series features rear drum brakes in the base model, and both LS and LT models come with Dynamic Rear Proportioning and ABS as standard features.
Dynamic Rear Proportioning is a new feature that adjusts the brake pressure between the front and the rear brakes, allowing for better control and braking over shorter distances.
The Malibu also features adjustable rear seating and excellent legroom due to a large 101 cubic feet of interior space. Higher end models also feature a remote start option that auto shuts off in 10 minutes.
